The Oldest City in Switzerland

Chur is the capital as well as largest town of the canton of the Grisons of Switzerland. The charming town lies in the Grisonian Rhine Valley, where the Rhine turns towards the north, in the northern part of the Grisons. As the Switzerland’s oldest city, it charms the visitors with its stunning mountain setting, twisting wonderful alleys and historical and cultural buildings.

The city, located on the right bank of the Rhine, is reputedly the really oldest town of Switzerland. How to get Chur

You need to travel 118 km from Zurich to reach Chur. Zurich is the nearest airport. Travel time is 75 minutes from Zürich to Chur by train or by car. By train, you can take a direct train to Chur in Zurich.
