Lindenhof - Green Park with panoramic view
Lindenhof is a tree-covered excellent park in the city of Zurich. It has wonderful views with the River Limmat, the Lake Zurich. The early settlements of Zurich were located in the Lindenhof. Early local Helvetian tribes contributed to the construction of a Roman fort and outpost being constructed.
The revitalization of the fort by Louis the German of the Holy Roman Empire since the fall of Rome became the secret to Zurich being the city it is today.
Today, Lindenhof is a haven of peace and tranquility in the heart of the city. It is also a meeting point for passionate chess players, and children with family play on the swings. You will appreciate a beautiful view of,

The Lindenhof – place of many historical events
A Roman fort stood on the site, back in the 4th century which was a tax collecting point at the time. A regal palace is built by the grandson of Charlemagne in the 9th century to live in on the same site. The Roman name of Turīcum was the precursor to the name Zurich. The name Lindenhof is taken from the tree Linden. The Helvetic Constitution was taken on the Lindenhof in 1798.
