Stoosbahn - A world record holding technical innovation
Stoosbahn, the magnet for visitors attracts numerous national and foreign visitors since its opening in December 2017. The funicular railway from Schwyz to Stoos is the steepest in the world. The funicular cabins are unique. The standing platform is well suited to the extreme gradient and perfectly flat at all times, makes comfortable journey for the passengers.
The small holiday village of Stoos sits at approximately 1300 meters of altitude in the alpine landscape of central Switzerland.
Summer activities in Stoos
The mountain village of Lake Lucerne offers a selection of mountain sports and a variety of family excursions. Visitors can have fun in the waters of the small Stoos lake and discover the Teufböni moor on an experience trail.
Winter activities in Stoos
The Fronalpstock and Klingenstock winter sports area offers 35 kilometers of fun on the pistes. Both amateurs and professionals will find a piste that matches their wishes and a course based on their expertise in the snow sports school. There are regular plans for Loipen, Freestylepark and winter hiking trails. Toboggans and air-boarders are able to accelerate the slope down the Fronalpstock on different pistes.

Funicular from Schwyz: Suitable for wheelchairs & prams.
Aerial cable car from Morschach: Rather not suitable because it is very small.
Chair lifts Fronalpstock: If you can fold the pram, it can be lifted with the chair lifts.
