Stanserhorn - CabriO cable car

Stanserhorn roofless cable car, “CabriO” cable car is the world’s first cable car with a roofless upper deck which is riding to the top of the 1,900-meter Mount Stanserhorn with headwind and the magnificent view without any cables overhead. You should travel on stanserhorn-CabriO-cable-car at least once in your lives.

The luxurious double decker is the newest technology in cable cars. There is space for up to 60 people on the lower level and 30 people in sun deck. Sun deck with panoramic views and fresh mountain air can be reached by stylish staircase. Garaventa AG, a cable car company based in central Switzerland innovates this technical car which moves on two side-mounted support cables. Rangers are ready to assist visitors with identifying flowers and mountains on the summit circular walk.

The people at Mount Stanserhorn are really proud of this innovative project which was almost completely Swiss-made. A special stamp also published by Swiss post office in May 2012 to honour the innovation.
