Arosa
Arosa with its impressive range of mountain peaks all around is a wonderful town in the Plessur Region in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It is both a summer and a winter tourist resort. The tradition-rich Grisons holiday resort of Arosa is located at the end of the romantic Schanfigg Valley at an altitude of about 1800 metres above sea level.
In total, 225 km of pistes across the Arosa and Lenzerheide areas are served by more than 40 lifts, with 70km of those pistes and a 30km freeride area on the Arosa side. Non-skiers can explore the 60km of winter walking trails, some of which lead up the mountain, or take a snow-shoe tour with the ski school.
You can also enjoy your passion of hiking on our well prepared hiking trails during the winter season. A network of over 140 km maintained winter hiking paths are at your disposal.
Arosa is near to the ski resort of Davos-Klosters and also Flims and the White Arena ski area, reachable by road.
Other activities include:
- Skiing and snowboarding
- Nordic Walking
- Cross-country skiing
- Snowshoeing
- Tobogganing
- Ice-skating
- Curling
- Horse drawn sleigh rides
- Hot Air Ballooning
- Paragliding
While everyone talk-shops about carbon, spring deflections and wheel size, the versatile bike region Arosa keeps its focus on its long-established strengths.
The trails and hiking paths in Graubünden have always been a meeting place and different sport types are available. A trail network of approximately 17,000 kilometres in a fantastic landscape is available in Grisons for your sports activities, be it hiking, trail running, Nordic walking, or mountain biking. The signposted trail network comprises approximately 11,000 kilometres, part of which is designated as mountain bike trails.
