Jungfraujoch: On the top of Europe
The Jungfraujoch, also known as maiden saddle, connects two major 4000ers of the Bernese Alps. They are the Jungfrau and the Mönch. It is located at an elevation of 3,463 metres above sea level. You can fell icy air streams across your face, snow crunches under your feet, and the view on the top of Europe. Nearly you might take your breath away and is directly overlooked by the rocky prominence of the Sphinx.
In your other hand side, you can enjoy the view of the Mittelland up to the Vosges, and the Aletsch glacier bordered by four thousand metre peaks.
The local and oversea tourists can be accessible to Jungfraujoch by the Jungfrau line since 1912. It is exactly a railway from Interlaken and Kleine Scheidegg, running partly underground through a tunnel through the Eiger and Mönch. The Jungfraujoch is like a jewel in the crown to all tour to Switzerland. So, do not miss it.
