Titlis Glacier Cave

There is a 150-meter-long ice grotto which was hewn into the heart of the glacier at the mountain station of the cable car. The ceiling is filled with ice crystals, gleaming mysteriously blue, and open crevasses on top.

Visitors are advised to wear warm clothes since the temperature never go beyond -1 degree Celsius. There are plenty of cool experiences on the glacier for those who like it hot, tourists will keep them busy for a while with the glacier chairlift, Ice-Flyer and the Fun-Lift. Cross the glacier and to climb to the top of Titlis is a specially recommended excursion only possible with well-trained mountain guide.

How to get there:

Drive or take public transportation from Luzern via Stans to Engelberg, from Engelberg by aerial cablecar. The cave can be easily accessed via a corridor from Level 1 of the TITLIS mountain station.
