Nidwalden
Nidwalden, also Nidwald which has a long and eventful history lies in Central part of Switzerland. Traditionally Canton of Nidwalden was considered a “half-canton”, the other half is Obwalden.
Nidwalden where most of the population speaks German is surrounded safely by Obwalden to the west, the cantons of Lucerne and Schwyz to the north, Uri to the east and the canton of Bern to the south and essentially in the Alps, south of Lake Lucerne. Nidwalden’s mountains & Lakes, its charming ancient villages and tiny towns, and green countryside all provide enchanting fun experience. It offers leisure activities all year.
The lakeside areas offer a whole package of water sports & relaxation. The mountainous cableways and pleasurable long railways provide the easy access to the pre-Alps. You can enjoy the winter sports and tourist facilities along with Lake Lucerne.
