Braunwald Ski Resort

Dress warmly, pack your sunglasses and off you go to Braunwald, the car-free resort is in the southernmost part of the Glarus region, Switzerland.

Braunwald features 49 sunny days on average per season. The average for all ski Resorts in Switzerland is 48 sunny days. March is the sunniest month with an average of 17 sunny days. It is a family-friendly ski resort. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,250 and 1,900 m. As soon as the flowers start to bloom again and the days get longer, summer is just around the corner.

The beautiful Braunwald mountain world lures many winter sports fans as winter sets in. It’s more affordable and not as crowded as bigger destination resorts like Davos or Flims/Laax.

The most lifts are enclosed cable cars and the trails mostly lined by trees, which improves visibility. 32 km of prepared pistes, ranging from easy to challenging, descend to the village. Winter hikers can choose from a 20 km-long footpath network and there is also a 4-km long cross-country ski trail.

The early bird offer takes place on selected dates in the winter season. The Gumen slope is already open from 7 a.m. on these dates.
