Families will appreciate the friendly atmosphere as well as the fantastic, large beginners’ area in the village centre.Â

The enchanting, traffic-free village is surrounded by a magnificent backdrop of dazzling blue glaciers and towering peaks, including the Dom – the highest mountain located entirely within Switzerland.
For anyone put off skiing because of the cold, Saas Fee has the perfect tonic. Lifts on the glacier start spinning every year from mid-July for summer skiing & then roll on all the way through winter. Summer skiing costs more than winter if you don’t have a ‘citizen’s pass’.
Beginners
Saas Fee has excellent skiing for beginners with large nursery areas at the edge of the village and an excellent ski school. The Egginer blue slope is wide and sunny and there is some great cruising above the Langfluh.
Intermediates
With lots of wide open, well-groomed pistes, Saas Fee is a paradise for intermediates. The Felskinn area (at 2974m) is a favourite, while the Langfluh (2888m) has some steeper, more challenging runs.
Advanced
The glacier offers year-round skiing and guaranteed snow, with skiing from 3500m. The top of the Felskinn offers some excellent powder skiing and steep and heavily mogulled runs.
Added Values
- 50% off ski/snowboard hire or carriage when you pre-book your lift pass (must be booked 6 weeks before departure)
- Free child helmet when booking skis and boots
- Free Entrance to ‘Aqua Allalin’ pool & spa with purchase of lift pass (min. 6 days, one entrance per stay)
Snowboarding
Saas Fee has a plethora of wide, open slopes for carving and off-piste possibilities. If you’re a beginner, the nursery slopes are fantastic, and as you progress, you’ll have handfuls of blue and red runs to try out. Freestylers can have a ball at the Morenia Freestyle Park, which offers obstacles for all abilities.

WHEN TO GO
Saas-Fee is open for skiing all year round. However, the obvious time to go is during the winter. Due to its high-altitude snow-surety Saas Fee makes an excellent choice for spring skiing. The main ski season in the Swiss Alps is from December to March. All of our resorts have high altitude slopes over 1,800m with reliable snow cover, so picking when to go can come down to crowds and your budget. January and March are quietest and cheapest – choose January for better snow.
