LAAX, the ski resort base area provides a mix of modern, funky slopeside ski -in hotels & apartments plus more traditional chalets. Flims is a larger town with a broad array of lodging options including ski-in lodgings next to the lower slopes. Unlike Laax, the ski lift base is directly in town, a short walking distance to the centre. Falera is a small hamlet perfect for those wanting a bit of peace & quiet, but still within walking distance of a chairlift.

Flims Laax Falera has 31 lifts within its 200 Hectares of terrain that is suitable for all levels, including terrain park enthusiasts. The highest ski resorts for skiing in Flims Laax Falera extend up to an altitude of 3,018 metres (Laax/Flims/Falera).

Topped with the Vorab Glacier above 3000m, the resorts 224km of piste trails range from the high alpine to forested slopes over a staggering 1918m skiable vertical. The terrain & trails cater for all abilities equally well, so there is plenty for advanced skiers & snowboarders.

There are down low in sheltered locations at Flims, Laax base & Falera for the beginners. Combined with the similar amount rated as beginner, intermediates can safely navigate the entire resort in Laax.

There’s something to satisfy everyone’s wishes here with a wide selection of services to choose, from mountain-side restaurants to places where you can rent the latest ski gear to accommodation. Younger visitors and the young at heart can enjoy the unbridled freedom of LAAX’s freeride snowing or the snow parks, whilst families can take their little snow acrobats along to the three kids’ villages.

Based around the three villages of Laax, Flims & Falera, the resort’s largest village of Flims is 21km west of the capital of canton Grisons, Chur.   is the closest international airport, 145km by road to the north.
