Laax

Laax is a town in the Surselva Region in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. Laax is somewhat of a sprawling place. Villages are dotted about in meadows and roads wind, hidden by pine trees, snow dumped prettily all over the place. Warm chalets give off wood smoke from their chimneys.

Laax is all about modern lifts, vast terrain, long piste trails for all abilities plus challenging off-piste skiing & freeride routes. It is a different place altogether in the summer, the villages dotted about in white meadows change to green and the lakes fill with glacier melt. Laax is part of the weisse arena gruppe, which combines the formerly separate resorts of flims, laax and falera and uses a two brand strategy to market the destination.

Laax is more than just a winter resort: with 224 kilometres of slopes, four snowparks, the world’s largest halfpipe, the Freestyle Academy, the rocksresort design hotel, culinary highlights on the mountain and in the valley, world-class sports events, concerts by renowned artists and much more besides, Laax is a truly unique experience. Every year, important international snowboarding contests take place in Laax. In addition to winter sports, Flims Laax Falera is also known for summer sports such as hiking, downhill biking, and mountain biking which are positioned under brand Flims.

The ski resort Laax/Flims/Falera is located in Flims Laax Falera (Switzerland, Eastern Switzerland, Graubünden). For skiing and snowboarding, there are 188 km of slopes and 28 km of ski routes available. 28 lifts transport the guests.
