Oeschinen Lake & Hike
Oeschinen Lake or Oeschinensee which lies nestled beneath the sheer cliffs and rugged flanks of a stunning cirque of 3,000-meter peaks, is a lake in the Bernese Oberland, Switzerland. Also it is located 4 kilometres east to Kandersteg in the Oeschinen valley. The maximum depth of the lake is 56 metres.
This great stunning loop offers you the hike with wonderful views of the Oeschinensee. The deep blue lake is anchored by the Bluemlisalp, Oeschinenhorn, Frundenhorn and Doldenhorn, from a variety of different perspectives. The most beautiful mountain lake in the Alps is also UNESCO World Heritage Site.
People who love nature with beauty of water will admire the place no doubt. The best season for a walk and hike is the end of June to October, cable car open starting late May. Though the trails of hike are mostly narrow, rocky, you will enjoy stunning the lake view at the destination.
