Perfect pyramid shaped mountain - Matterhorn
The Matterhorn called as Monte Cervino in Italian, Mont Cervin in French is one of the well-known mountains in the Alps, straddling the main watershed and border between Switzerland and Italy. The mount rises 14,692 feet [4,478 metres) above sea level and 6 miles (10 km) southwest of the village of Zermatt, Switzerland.
The first climbers of the mountain who succeeded was in 1865. It costed four lives of seven alpinists. Typically, the summit day is between 9-12 hours of pretty much non-stop climbing with short breaks so, you need to have extremely good fitness levels. Every day around 150 people attempt to climb the mount though it’s physically tough. Most of climbers could’t handle the risk and quickly give up. To climb the high peak first you need a strong desire, and it will only make this climb.
It is main tourist attraction of Switzerland. There are so many activities to do including museums. The Matterhorn glacier paradise is the highest summer ski region in Europe and is open 365 days a year.
