The highest summit of the Engadin region - Mount Piz Bernina
Piz Bernina, also known as Pizzo Bernina in Italian, is the highest mountain located in the namesake alpine range in the Eastern Alps. Though the famous high mountain lies between the municipalities of Samedan and Pontresina , the highest point of the Bernina Range, and the highest peak in the Rhaetian Alps belongs to Switzerland.
The 4,048.6m king of the mountains is located near the major Alpine resort of St.Moriz, in the Engadin valley. You can enjoy the wonderful adventurous time here. There are mountaineering or mountain climbing trips in Piz Bernina particularly, private mountaineering for 3 to 10 days is available for intermediate climbers (also group climbing).
